At MyDigitalDoses.com our binaural tones are built using multiple layers of predominantly pure sine waves, a technique that is proven to produce a more natural sound and will more effectively ease one into an altered state of mind. A sine wave is pure tone of one frequency.

Other sites use square waves in their binaural tracks rather than sine waves. Square waves create odd harmonics, these harmonic tones are not the same frequency as the binaural tone, this reduces the effect. The over-use of square waves in our competitors tracks cause them to sound harsher then they should, almost to the point where it gets irritating and hard to listen to. This is definitely not the effect we strive for.

Interestingly, neither sine waves nor square waves are ever heard in nature.
